Seventh Day Adventists are not Christians, their doctrines are not Christianity, and Ben Carson’s notions of what reality actually is a lie –but is his best honesty.
You cannot have a works based/free-will regimen of religion and be a Christian. Period. No matter what you call it, or how recent it got started, or how ancient it is or how you have read up on Christianity and mingled what in your mind is a self-willed ‘belief’ “that Christians have” with your new stuff, or what kind of propaganda campaign you mount against anyone who calls your bluff, or how scared you are to not be included in the new popular lie, you are not a Christian.
Christian-ity, as they call it, is based on the Creating Word of God, that Creating Word being a Who, not a What. Jesus Christ is the now-Incarnate Word of God. God IS His Word and IS Creating Speech, that speech by which all that exists, both seen and unseen, was made, is being made and is being maintained. You are a Christian if and only if you have personally heard the Word of God, which is not human speech, even if they may at times sound-a-like. God as Word confounded human speech at the attempt to build the tower at Babel as every Sunday-schooler more than 10 years old ought to know. God will not allow a speech He confounded to be used as the sole means to gain salvation of soul for those He intends to save, no matter that Satan continually says that confounded speech is the sole means repeatedly with the mere facade of pasting a new name and few unique new doctrines over the claim each time Satan’s lies are discovered again. Anti-Christ would love for you to believe that he as speech rather than Jesus Christ as speech is the sole means of salvation of soul, even as he/she must make up a condition of the soul that has the appearance of being in a very particular captivity that he/she has the appearance of being able to make the soul free from it. Obviously, part of being a Christian is being saved out of human speech and the common sense of it, human speech being the speech of the serpent and anti-Christ. Just as obviously, anti-Christ is unable to get out of being itself as human speech and that lack of power to save itself it covers over by lies concerning what salvation is, what you are being saved out of and being saved into.
As all cults, Seventh Day Adventism is a works based, earn-your-way-to-heaven scam that without which, the new priest class could not control your every thought as they tell you ‘how’ to earn you way to the promised paradise. It just so happens that the ‘how’ part is ever changing as the lies are discovered, the speech morphs into new interpretations of old doctrines, the priest class never do the doctrines themselves, yet the victim of the cult has learned a best honesty about reality that is a complete lie, they cannot change it and are deceived they have already been saved …into the doctrines of the cult. The victim is told that whoever tells them they are not Christians are bigots and outsiders to whom the secret revelations have not been revealed as the doctrines instill not a fear of God as is commanded by God, but a fear of mere non-inclusion with the cult and thus a loss of work-put-in to save the soul and that very particular salvation.
Works based regimens of religion always claim power based on the adherent being more determined than others and thus appearing more righteous in their own eyes than those outside the regimen. As a rule, the priest class abuses the adherents, there is a tiered social structure with the ‘most determined’ getting ahead in the cult and being placed as overlords over the lesser determined and lesser flamboyant flock. Seventh Day Adventism is no different. They are not as well known as Mormons, Roman Catholics, or Jehovah’s Witness for sexual abuse against their adherents but it is only covered up better. The same behaviors are brought about by the works-based, earn-your-way-to-heaven regimen no matter the name, system or particular ‘prophet’ they follow.
So: a very few fun facts:
–Seventh Day Adventism started after a false prophet’s claim that Christ was coming back in 1844 didn’t come true. “Millerites.” Yep. One of those ‘–ite-‘ cults. You can predict it from there: a few schisms later and there are more than one both claiming to be ‘the good one’. At least most false religions have the attitude of get-your-own Special Revelation from a Special Being. Seventh Day Adventism, like Romanism, uses the Bible viewed through the exclusive lense of human speech as if there was no other speech than a speech that had the specific properties and characteristics of human speech ( can’t create anything being the big one, thus necessitating a whole new version of what salvation is and how it is to be obtained ). But they say they take it ‘literally’ and are thus ‘conservative’.
You can take human speech as literal as you want and it is still a liar.
Good thing the Bible isn’t written in human speech.
–I passed a sign on U.S. 19 ( Florida-Georgia Parkway ) in Florida south of Tallahassee aimed at the south-bound lane that proclaims the anti-Christ ( in very big letters) changed Saturday worship to Sunday worship and that Seventh Day Adventists have all the answers. No joke. Somebody take a pic if you see it before they take it down. I was in a hurry to deliver my load so I didn’t stop.
